Learn to manage your emotions and relationships

Posted on 2024-06-14

A new group coaching program is here!

Earlier this month, I successfully wrapped the first cohort of my new group coaching program Redesign Productivity Reading Workshop. It's a series of four group coaching sessions designed to understand and experience how we manage our #emotions and #relationships, which I believe are the two biggest factors that impact our productivity. Over two months, we independently read two books about them and came together for critical discussions and interactive self-awareness exercises. Running a group coaching program had been a long-time dream of mine, a huge part of my vision, and I couldn't be happier that it finally came to fruition! 😭❤️💪 Every single session has been a rich adventure full of joyful discoveries and deep connections with each other and I feel like I've created something really special. 🥹😎

How it came to be

In my 1:1 coaching program, Redesign Productivity, time and time again, I come across clients who have accomplished a lot, yet they feel diffident about where they're heading and how they're going about it. They may be experiencing a lackluster personal or professional life. Because they're so capable and hard-working, they are in demand, having to wear many hats at work and at home, juggling different levels of expectations, the highest one often coming from themselves. So they work harder, longer and more, often prioritizing their work before their own mental and physical health or the needs of their loved ones, sometimes to the point of over-exertion or physical crash. (I used to work so hard until something on my body broke, usually my back, and literally couldn't sit at my desk anymore.) At the same time, they find their business not growing at a speed proportional to how hard they work. They may feel even stuck in the trudges of routines. They push themselves even harder and aim to achieve more, constantly feeling like they’re not quite there yet. Redesign Productivity is a private program designed to facilitate intimate deep-dives into this dilemma until they gain clarity, balance and joy in all aspects of their lives. I call this state ‘resonant productivity’.

My kinda productivity is to live your life full of joy, balance and clarity.

Based on my experiences of dealing with many businesswomen and corporate leaders, I've found that there are two main obstacles to resonant productivity: our emotions and our relationships. You may relate to this from your personal experiences. How you manage these two has a tremendous impact on how you show up and drive effectiveness in your personal and professional worlds. I can tell you many women leaders I coach are brilliant trailblazers in their own right, but they silently struggle with feeling unsure about decisions they have to make or about managing their teams and partners effectively.

The books

So I created this group coaching program, under the same name as the 1:1 program, as an entry point to exploring these topics.  with these two books, The Rabbit Effect by Kelli Harding & Emotional Agility by Susan David, which are like my bibles at this point. (Granted I do have many “bibles” 😆and I should perhaps make a list of it. But I digress.) When I read these books for the first time, I felt like these two scholars have spelled out everything I wanted to address in my coaching program with crystal clarity.

Among so many important and useful themes discussed in these books, I selected the following topics to explore during the workshop.

Session 1

  • How to be with your emotions - good and bad

  • How to manage the critical voices inside you

Session 2

  • How to ground yourself in the present with your appreciator

  • How to not get lost on  way towards your vision

Session 3

  • The most important relationship in your life

  • Driving balance in life and at work

Session 4

  • Managing stress from key relationships in your life

Seriously, even if you don’t do the workshop with me, I highly recommend that you read them at your own leisure.

My intention for the participants was that I wanted to shine a light on what it means for busy driven women to develop confidence and balance and rethink what it means to be living a productive life. I think I’ve achieved that because

All of the participants have said

  • They have a deeper understanding of themselves.

  • They got to think about things they didn’t before.

  • They are inspired to continue developing themselves.

  • They would recommend this workshop to others.

75% of said that the workshop has also helped them

  • Become aware of the internal voices of criticism

  • Become more confident.

This is everything I had hoped for and more!

Being professionally successful and busy, and feeling fulfilled, confident and proud of your accomplishments can co-exist.  Looking after yourself first and caring for your family and business effectively can co-exist. A healthy & rich personal life with yourself in the center and a successful business venture can co-exist.  Explore these possibilities in the 2nd cohort of the workshop beginning in September.
