TERMS & POLICIES

TERMS OF SERVICE

  •  Coaching is a serious & genuine commitment for both of us! We both promise to bring to the coaching relationship whatever is needed to make it work. If you feel something isn’t working as you expected, we will work together to redesign our relationship around this.

  • You understand that coaching is different from psychological counselling or therapy conducted by psychologists or psychiatrists dealing with mental illness and/or psychological trauma in the past.

  • You understand that a coaching relationship involves me as a coach asking thought-provoking questions to help you find answers for yourself rather than feeding you answers.

  • You are accountable for the choices you make, actions you take and results you create as a result of coaching.

  • I will do my due diligence and continuously create a psychologically safe place for you. I will also continue to develop my capability as a professional coach so that my best efforts can help you achieve your goals on an ongoing manner.

  • Coaching sessions are conducted over Zoom. If the sessions were to take place in person, both parties shall follow the health regulations, and additional fee per session will apply.

  • A single coaching session lasts 50 minutes. Depending on the program you purchase, it could also extend to 80 minutes to 2 hours.

  • For coaching services, I ask for a minimum initial commitment of 6 months, as that is generally understood to be the minimum duration required for any fundamental & sustainable changes in habits, behavior & thinking patterns to occur. However, you are entitled to stop the program if you feel your goals have been reached, or the program is not serving your growth. Please refer to the Termination section for more details.

  • In the last session, we will celebrate your achievements and evaluate whether the coaching relationship will continue.

  • The recommended coaching frequency is bi-weekly. However, you have the freedom and authority to have the session as frequently or infrequently as you need, as long as the frequency effectively serves your development.

 
SCHEDULING & CANCELLATION

 

  • We will schedule all sessions of the program at the start of this contract in order to secure time well in advance. E.g. For a minimum of 6 months commitment, we’ll schedule 12 sessions in advance.

  • Upon scheduling, you will receive calendar invites. The invites will include the Zoom link you will use to log on to the sessions.

  • If you need to adjust or cancel an appointment, please do so at least 24 hours before the appointment by using the “reschedule” or “cancel” link included in the invites.

  • Any cancellation or rescheduling request made more than 24 hours before an appointment, I will do my best to accommodate you on the next earliest available date. However, please keep in mind the same-week appointment may not always be possible.

  • Any cancellation or rescheduling request made within 24 hours of an appointment will be fully charged for, and it will not be eligible for rescheduling or refund. The exception to this policy is if Client or Coach is in a situation requiring urgent medical care or experiencing natural & manmade disasters.

  • I will also give you a minimum of 24-hour notice if any change is necessary from my end. Any change of appointments initiated from my end will be rescheduled.

 
PAYMENT & REFUND

  • The coaching fee is indicated and processed in Korean Won. Therefore, the final transaction amount in your local currency may change slightly from payment to payment depending on the fluctuation of the Fx market.

  • Payment must be made in full within 14 days from signing this agreement.

  • The accepted payment options are credit cards, bank transfers, or PayPal.

  • If you’re on a subscription plan, your credit card will be automatically charged on a date and at a frequency that is agreed upon.

  • All costs for international bank transfers are covered by you; otherwise, the incurred amount will be invoiced separately.

  • In case of a refund, please allow about 7-10 days for the refund request to be processed and credited to the original payment method.

 
TERMINATION

  • Both Coach and Client reserve the right to terminate the coaching relationship if A. Client feels the intended goals have been achieved and there is no more to develop, and/or B. Client or Coach feels the coaching relationship is not serving its purpose or adding value to the Client’s growth.

  • If Client is on a subscription plan and decides to stop the program for any reasons including the reasons stated above, the monthly charge will discontinue. However, the fee for any remaining session for the paid subscription will not be refunded.

  • If Client is on a package plan (a pre-purchased set of sessions) and decides to stop the program before completing the number of sessions included in the package for any reasons including the reasons stated above, the fee for the remaining sessions will not be refunded.

  • If Coach is not able to complete the agreed number of sessions for any reason, the full amount for the remaining sessions, less the 3% admin fee of the balance, will be refunded.

 
DATA PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY

  • I abide by the Korea Coach Association’s Code of Ethics, the International Coaching Federation’s Code of Conduct and the Personal Information Protection Act in Korea. Therefore, all coaching conversations are 100% confidential.

  • However, you understand that I must keep records of the minimum information of all clients I work with, including their names, contact information, when and for how many hours I coached them, and share such information with relevant organizations so that I can maintain my coaching credentials.

  • In case I share any coaching cases that involve you for training or marketing purposes, you will always be given a chance to give your consent before publication. In this process, you will be informed of how the case will be shared before publication and you will have the authority over how much of the personal information is disclosed.

  • I must break confidentiality according to the above-mentioned codes of ethics and report to the relevant authorities if you share information about situations where you could endanger your own health or somebody else’s or commit a criminal offence.

  • All client data will be kept and used for the specified service provision and marketing activities as long as the client agrees to be a member of the site or receive services under an agreement.  Anyone on the membership or subscriber list can unsubscribe from communications at any point. They can also terminate the agreement under the conditions mentioned under Termination. The data will be kept for 3 years after the termination of the agreement or canceling the subscription or membership.
